Fan Du

I am a research scientist at Adobe Research, focusing on data visualization and machine learning. I received my Ph.D. from University of Maryland, College Park in 2018, advised by Dr. Ben Shneiderman and Dr. Catherine Plaisant.

Previously, I received my master's degree from University of Maryland and bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University, both in computer science. I have worked at Alibaba, Tencent, and IBM Research. I founded WaiMai Online, a startup that developed one of the earliest online meal ordering and delivery platforms.
