Fan Du

I am a computer science Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I work as a research assistant with Prof. Ben Shneiderman and Dr. Catherine Plaisant. My research focuses on data visualization and human-computer interaction, especially on analyzing healthcare data and user activity logs.

I received my bachelor's degree in computer science from Zhejiang University. In the past, I worked in top companies including Alibaba, Tencent, and IBM Research. I founded WaiMai Online, a startup that provided online ordering systems for more than 40 restaurants.
